Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and grew up in a mixed-ethnic, multiracial family. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and Sri Lankan. Their father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Her brothers are elder as well as two younger brothers. The 80s were the time when her parents emigrated to Bahrain due to civil unrest on Sri Lanka. In the end, she was born and raised in the country. She later quit the sport in order to make a profession as a fashion designer. Padukone's native language is Konkani. She is Mangalorean from her birthplace. Padukone, a village in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State in India is where her lineage is derived from. Prakash Padukone's father is an international badminton champion who now retired. Her mom is a travel agent.
